How To Remove Mold Bathroom Ceiling
Housekeeping Instructions : Removing Mildew From Fabric
Mold is a serious problem especially in bathrooms because of their high humidity. You can use vinegar, baking soda and dish soap to remove mold from bathroom ceilings.
To Clean Shower Curtains
Just because your plastic shower curtain or liner gets dirty or mildewed doesnt mean you have to throw it away. Try cleaning it in your washing machine with two bath towels on the gentle setting. Add 1/2 cup baking soda to your detergent during the wash cycle and 1/2 cup vinegar during the rinse cycle. Before the machine goes into the spin cycle, remove the curtain and let it drip-dry dont put it in the dryer.
Chlorine is another option to get rid of mold in your bathroom. Wash themalong with a couple of bath towelsin warm water with 1/2 cup chlorine bleach and 1/4 cup laundry detergent. Let the washer run for a couple of minutes before loading. Put the shower curtain and towels in the dryer on the lowest temperature setting for 10 minutes, then immediately hang-dry. Rid your rubber shower mat of mildew by soaking it in a solution of 1/8 cup chlorine bleach in 1 gallon water for 3-4 hours. Rinse well.
Get Rid Of Mould On Fabric In 5 Steps
Once youâve discovered mould on clothes, the treatment depends on how old the mould stains are as well as the type of fabric. Fresh mould stains can often be removed simply by laundering with a good quality detergent like Persil Powercaps, so you may even be able to skip Steps 2 and 3 below.
Check garment care labels â As always, follow the manufacturer instructions, especially in regards to the suggested water temperature for your garment, as well as how it should be dried.
Rub in a mould stain remover and/or scrub it off with a toothbrush â Using one of the products suggested below, apply the solution to the mould stain. If the fabric is tough, like cotton or denim, you can try gently scrubbing off the mould with a clean toothbrush and the selected product. But try not to damage the fabric in the process!
Let the stain dry in the sun, or pre-soak it â Again, this depends on the type of fabric. Sunlight is great at removing mould from fabric, but it can also fade colours and damage delicate fabrics. So a white cotton T-shirt can be dried in the sun, but not a colourful nylon shirt. Alternatively, you can pre-soak the stained garment for up to an hour in one of the solutions suggested below.
Hang-dry your clothing in the sun â If the mould stains are still there, you may want to repeat some of the previous steps, but a final hang-dry in the sun will help zap any remaining mould.

Housekeeping Tips : How to Get Rid of Black Mold on Clothes
There are two major types of mold black mold and white mold. Black mold on clothes is not as commonly seen as white mold on clothes, but there are chances of both occurring under the right circumstances.
Black mold, also known as Stachybotrys chartarum, is an extremely toxic mold that grows in homes and produces mycotoxins that are capable of causing health hazards in humans, especially once its spores become airborne. By the time black mold is detected, it is often already a major problem in the home.
Though not as frequently perceived as a threat, white mold is fairly common in homes. It is harder to detect on lighter surfaces and has a propensity for changing colour. White mold also feels flaky, and has a powdery appearance, very similar to mildew, which is an earlier stage of mold.
White mold can be injurious to your health, though not to the same extent as black mold. Both black mold and white mold on clothes are dangerous, causing lasting damage to the surfaces they come in contact with, and must be treated as soon as they are recognised.

Ruins The Look Of Your Clothes
This is a no-brainer. No one wants weird white and green patches on their clothes and that is exactly what these molds provide with an additional disadvantage of the awful smell that they produce.
The mold ruins the look of your clothes and prevents them from shining like they used to.
Mold is attracted to damp clothes because moisture is a favorable environment for their growth and allows them to reproduce and spread more easily. They degrade the fibers of your clothes and ruin their integrity and this in turn also ruins the look of the clothes.

How Do Clothes Acquire Mildew Growth
Clothes acquire mildew growth the same way fabrics do by being stored in a place with high humidity levels and little to no air ventilation. Since there is a high moisture level in the air, the material tries to absorb some of it, making them vulnerable to mildew spores.
Their susceptibility to the spores increases as they cannot dry themselves because of the lack of airflow.
Although mildew commonly victimizes plants, clothes made of natural fibers can also fall victim to them. Articles made of woven textiles and cotton are more susceptible to mildew than synthetic fabrics.
However, this shouldnt discourage you from using natural fabrics. However, we expect you to take better care of them due to their vulnerability to fungi.
Besides high moisture levels, clothes with dirt or dust accumulation can also invite mildew spores. This is because the build-up serves as the fungis food source, sustaining its growth.
